Mr. Seyl founded CDL Consultants in 2012, and has guided its expansion into a national provider of citation defense coordination, driver record support, and compliance services. The company has achieved a favorable outcome in 97 percent of its more than 650,000 commercial driver citation cases and has directed over 100,000 successful DataQs challenges related to federal and roadside inspection records.
Beyond CDL Consultants, Mr. Seyl is the CEO of CDL 360, CDL Manager, and Waypoint True. These organizations provide safety management services, ongoing compliance monitoring, and AI technology designed to significantly reduce the review time for hours-of-service documentation audits. Mr. Seyl graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in psychology. He also serves on the board of the American Truck Drivers Safety Association.
